Common questions

Time-to-hire, answered.

Is this time-to-hire calculator really free?

Yes. Enter how long screening, scheduling, interviewing, assessment, and offer take today, and get an instant estimate — no sign-up, no email, and no limit on how many times you run it.

How is time-to-hire calculated here?

It's the sum of the days you enter for each stage: sourcing & résumé screening, interview scheduling, interviewing, assessment, and decision & offer. That total is your current time-to-hire.

How is the "with JIA" estimate calculated?

Each stage has a fixed compression factor based on what JIA automates: Sourcing & résumé screening (85% — JIA screens every applicant against the JD the moment they apply, instead of a recruiter batching résumés.); Interview scheduling & coordination (75% — Candidates self-schedule against live availability — no email/calendar back-and-forth.); Interviewing (all rounds) (60% — AI interviews run on-demand, 24/7, so candidates aren't queued behind panel availability.); Skills assessment / test (55% — Assessment is built into the same flow and auto-scored — no separate vendor hand-off or wait for a grader.); Decision & offer (30% — A ranked, evidence-backed shortlist shortens internal debate — the decision itself is still a human call.). These are directional assumptions about how automation changes each stage, not a guarantee for your specific process.

Why do the stage compression factors differ?

Stages that are pure coordination or manual review overhead — screening, scheduling — compress the most, because JIA replaces the wait entirely. Stages that still involve a human judgment call — the final decision — compress the least, because JIA speeds up the input to that decision, not the decision itself.

How is this different from using JustInterview.ai (JIA)?

This tool gives you a standalone estimate you can use for planning. JIA goes further — it screens résumés, runs AI interviews on demand, scores assessments, and hands you a ranked shortlist, which is what actually produces the time savings modeled here.
